Loved reading your article, Britt. I was lucky to have great Professors during my MBA days. Three of them rated as great mentors. In 2011, after working as a consultant and a tutor, I understood- I realised what it meant to be 'getting push back from the mentors, the hard questions, and the demand to think smarter and admit mistakes sooner'. My mentors could see the potential in me but they also saw that I needed to get over certain personal barriers to get to that point. Today, I have to a great degree grasped the personal barriers- tackled them head on and being a late starter, I feel like I am in my 20's again. I value the insight from the mentors but mostly, I cherish their ardent belief that I could do what I have the potential to do.
