As I mentioned over on the Facebooks...exercise is what keeps me sane. I've always been what I would consider an active person, but I found that as my business got busier, I was putting my business health before my own. The result wasn't pretty. Sometime around Spring of 2012, I found a running partner and we began by running twice/week in the wee hours of the morning. We gradually increased it to 4x/week and will truly run in the freezing temps, the dark (I got a head lamp for Christmas!), and *light* rain (pouring? no thanks). It's made a tremendous difference in how I run my business, manage accounts and in my disposition. :)
Running and finding time to think and dream up new ideas for my business keep me pumping along! Thanks for the post, Margie!
@EricaAllison That's great, Erica! Running is really fun (the me of 2 years ago would never have said that!) but it can be very intimidating for people. I started my fitness routine years ago with a pretty simple but very relaxing Yoga video and I expanded from there. The important thing is to start moving in some way. The how isn't as important.
