From The CarolRoth.com Entrepreneurship Interview Series

This interview is chock full of words of wisdom from a gentleman known as the “Wisdom Guy”, Hank Wasiak. A true Renaissance man, Hank is co-founder of The Concept Farm, one of today’s hottest creative companies and retired Vice Chairman of McCann Erickson WorldGroup. Plus, he is a bestselling author, keynote speaker, teacher, 14 time Emmy nominated Executive TV Producer, and three time Emmy award winning television host, board member of the American Heart Association and advocate of Asset-Based Thinking.
Hank and I cover a number of topics in our interview, including:
-What Asset-Based Thinking is and how you can implement it in your business;
-Why Hank thinks it is the best time ever to be in the marketing & communications business;
-How focusing on “deep ripples” instead of a “big splash” can help you grow your business;
-How to redefine the concept of personal branding to leverage it across your organization for success;
-What the 5th “P” stands for and why it is critical to your business;
-And more

I really enjoyed your interview, Carol.
Three things stood out for me and they were the idea that we should consciously take risks and if it works, fantastic and if it doesn’t then it matters more how you fix it than the mistake itself;
how to tell people NOT to do something so they do something better (the road sign story);
making better links. This is one of my long time soap boxes! I find that people are so busy specialising and compartmentalising in the search for expertise rather than claiming their own authority in a field, that we risk losing the art of connecting ideas. And this in a world so focused on connecting via community platforms and promoting creativity.
My big smile comes from the most favourite description anyone ever wrote about me: Renaissance woman! If Hank makes that a “hot label” then there is hope for many more renaissance men and women
Thanks again.
@Amanda
Thanks for the comments and I am glad you were able to take away so many great insights.
I think we all need to work to make the “Renaissance” label hot again!
Thanks for commenting!
