I think Carol Roth and I are going on our eighth year of working together. I guess you could say that we’re in a LTR.

If you are a freelancer or work with freelancers, you will understand this would generally be considered an eternity.

I thought it might be fun to share our thoughts on how to have a good freelance relationship – on both sides.

We agreed that setting clear expectations and knowing the other person’s workstyle is critical.

I stressed the importance of understanding communication styles and how someone likes to communicate.

This short conversation will definitely help you if you are working as a freelancer or have had not-so-great relationships with freelancers in the past.
