Networking: How Your Friends Influence Your Success

FriendsWho do you choose to surround yourself with professionally and personally? Have you thought about the way these people affect your professional and personal success?

One of the reasons I continue as editor for Business Unplugged™ is because I get to interact with Carol on a regular basis. Her insights and suggestions have been invaluable.

I also have heard the phrase thrown around: “Your network is your net worth.” That should give you a little motivation to take a look at your current professional network.

Carol wrote a post for entrepreneur.com about this. She begins:

You can tell a lot about a person by the company that they keep. There’s a saying that goes something like: You become the average of the six people that you spend the most time with.

If you look at your professional company — the other co-workers, colleagues, business owners and industry professionals that you most often interact with — who are they, what do they stand for and what do they say about you?
