As an independent creator, it is hard to get a license from a company to use their characters, logos and other intellectual property.

We are testing a program to make that available and easy for you!

So, if you are looking to sell stationery featuring a specific photo of your favorite doll, or a t-shirt with a brand logo or even your own photo featuring a character owned by a company, this is an opportunity for you to get a small, cost-effective license to do so.

As this is a beta/pilot program, it is clunky and we are working out what will work best and most efficiently in the long term.

You can request one or more licenses, but each submission request has to be submitted separately (for example, a specific Poppy Parker logo for stationery and a photo you took of Poppy Parker that you want to put on t-shirts and sell would be separate).

You have to sell direct to consumers (that is, you can’t sell to Wal-Mart or other company to resell, but selling on Etsy or at a craft fair is just fine) or use for your organization. The products have to be high quality, can’t be marketed to children or be children’s products, and you have to take all responsibility if something happens while using your product or for your misuse of the license.

We hope that this endeavor will open up the ability for creators to legally access what was previously only available to large companies.

As this is new, we are open to feedback and ideas 😊
