With the Great Resignation and the Great Reshuffling, it’s clear the way we’re working is NOT working for many of us, which is why I am launching the Evolving Working Podcast.

In this episode, I talk with women’s empowerment expert Susan Eckstein about the beliefs and cultural expectations that may be keeping us playing small.

Family of origin and our environment can play a big role. While we may be conscious of some of this, many times limiting beliefs are in the subconscious mind, and we may not be aware of them until someone else points them out to us. These limiting beliefs, combined with our own negative self-talk, can hold us back professionally and personally.

We keep hearing about the importance of being authentic, but what exactly is authenticity and how do we show up authentically (but also appropriately)? Susan and I walk you through several scenarios of what works and what you should avoid.

Are you shrinking in your job or in your business? Lots of people are, especially women, even as we are being encouraged to pursue leadership positions. There are some clear signs of shrinking, and Susan talks in detail about what it looks like, and how you can move through the habit of holding back.

There can be some big payoffs for showing up and stepping up! You may ask for a raise or throw your hat in the ring for a promotion. You may raise your rates as a service provider and finally charge what you’re worth.

Or, you may ask that hot person out finally.

Yes, change is uncomfortable and will take time, but you CAN show up as the most powerful version of yourself.

Susan and I both want to be Mel Robbins. LOL.
